Frequently Asked Questions
Everything we wish we'd known before our first class. If we missed something, just drop us a note.
Courses
How are classes structured? +
Group cohorts cap at 8 (4 for advanced). Sessions run 60 minutes, twice or thrice weekly depending on the plan. You'll get a workbook, mobile app access, and a tutor in the cohort Slack channel.
Are your classes online or in-person? +
Both. Our Kingston studio runs in-person cohorts on Trafalgar Road. Everything else (and most of our 1-on-1 work) happens on Zoom, with recordings available for 30 days.
What if I miss a class? +
You can swap into another cohort's session that week (we run several across time zones), or watch the recording and request a 15-minute catch-up with your tutor.
Pricing
What payment methods do you accept? +
Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and JMD bank transfer for individuals. Corporate clients can pay via invoice (NET 30) in USD, JMD, or EUR. All pricing on the site is in USD.
Do you offer scholarships or discounts? +
Yes. We reserve 10% of each cohort for UWI and HEART Trust applicants at a 50% discount, and we run a needs-based scholarship twice a year. Ask us for the next intake.
Consulting
How does a consulting engagement start? +
With a free 30-minute discovery call, then a one-page proposal within 48 hours. Most engagements run 6 – 12 weeks with a clear set of deliverables and a fixed price.
Do you work with companies outside Jamaica? +
Absolutely. About 40% of our consulting work is for clients in Barbados, Trinidad, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands, Florida, and Colombia.
Logistics
Where is your studio? +
14 Trafalgar Road, Suite 5, Kingston 10. We're a short walk from New Kingston and a 20-minute drive from Norman Manley International Airport.
Is the app available now? +
Not yet. The iOS beta ships in summer 2026 and Android shortly after. Join the waitlist on our App page for early access and a free month of Premium.
Can I get a certificate at the end? +
Yes. Every cohort ends with an assessment and a Lingua Caribe certificate aligned to the CEFR scale. We also prep students for DELE, DELF, DALF, TOEFL, IELTS, and TCF.
